Core Materials address routine daily instructional tasks that become the basis for transition planning. Materials and lesson plans include daily living skills, circle time activities, jobs, snack time tasks, recreation and games, home reports, and daily sign-in procedures.
These are transitioning skills that should be incorporated throughout all grade bands. While the task may look very different for a 4-year-old or an 18-year-old, the goals are generally in the same areas of need. The student goals that we address when completing these tasks are defined in several ways within the Unique Learning System​.
