Lessons that have been turned in display a green checkmark in student view. This displays differently when using a My Plan versus classic Student View. You can determine if a My Plan is set up by navigating to the Teacher Dashboard. If the screen indicates that you need to set dates for a month, then no My Plan is set up for that monthly unit.
Use the links below to navigate to the directions specific to your setup.
No My Plan
If a My Plan is not set up, your student will select the desired lesson, and then select the desired activity in Student View. Scorable lessons have the ability to be turned in. Each activity will display a checkmark to indicate a status of ‘turned in’ whenever the student selects the “Turn In” button, even if there is more work to do.
Students can re-enter the lessons and activities at any time during the Monthly Unit. Their previous work will be saved and available for them to update their responses. Each time a student interacts with a lesson it will overwrite their existing score as well as the copy of their work for Student Daily Performance. This occurs because all activities must score as a continuation.
If a My Plan is set up, only the activities for each day will display in Student View as indicated on the My Plan. Scorable lessons have the ability to be turned in. Each activity will display a green checkmark to indicate a status of ‘turned in’ after the student selects the “Turn In” button, even if there is more work to do.
This checkmark will remain for any future instances where the activity has been reassigned as a continuation. Please note that by default, all activities from the Suggested Monthly Plan score as a continuation and many activities are reassigned. If an activity is reassigned as a continuation after it has been turned in, the green checkmark indicating the ‘turned in’ status will be removed.
Reassigned activities set to score as a continuation will include previous responses and be accessible via the “Edit” button. Reassigned activities set to score as a new attempt will be cleared of their previous responses and create a new score as well as a new copy of the student’s work in Student Daily Performance.
The video below summarizes the ways to score a new attempt.
