How Are Benchmark Assessments Aligned with my State’s Standards?

We are excited to offer new and improved Benchmark assessments that include alignment to state standards.  Not only do they provide coverage of the skills that were assessed in the original Unique Learning System Benchmarks, but also assess a much wider range of skills than ever before. Please note that our current Benchmarks address foundational skills for the majority of our students and serve as baseline and growth measures of those foundational skills to support instruction, IEP planning, and execution.

General and Extended standards associated with a Benchmark can be viewed from the n2y GPS and the Students page. 

From the n2y GPS:

1. Navigate to the n2y GPS from the Unique Learning System menu.

2. Select the desired student.

3. Select Benchmarks.

4. Select a Benchmark that has been administered.
5. Under Assessment History, select View.

6. To the right side of each question, the General and Extended standards will be displayed as pictured:

From the Students page:

1. Navigate to the Students page from the My Account menu.

2. Select the student’s name to open the student’s details page.

3. Select the Assessment Results tab.

4. Select the timeframe in which the assessment was completed.

5. Within the Type options, select Benchmark Assessments.

6. Select View.

7. To the right side of each question, the General and Extended standards will be displayed as pictured:
