The ULS grade bands are:
- Preschool
- Elementary (K-2)
- Intermediate (3-5)
- Middle School (6-8)
- High School (9-12)
- Transition (12 +)
For the most accurate standards reporting and compliance, we recommend that students are placed in the grade band that matches their assigned grade level. Please note these are two separate settings. In situations where service providers have a multi-grade classroom (e.g., K-6) and can select only one grade band, we recommend selecting the grade band that addresses the majority of the students’ assigned grade levels. There is adequate overlap between the grade band levels to cover some grade differences.
Please note that the Lesson Reports will only list the standards for the students’ assigned grade level when it matches their service provider’s grade band access. Students who fall outside of your selected grade band will not have standards reported if their grade is not supported by that band. There are specific details on standards alignment for each grade band under Teacher Reference Materials > Alignment Tools.
If you find that you need to switch grade bands, contact your Subscription Manager who can update your grade band through the Subscription Dashboard.
