n2y provides online, subscription based content that is provided during a limited time frame. Providing the materials online during this limited time frame allows educators to access dynamic material that is current, interactive, and holds to the most rigorous alignment to standards.
The following guide is intended to highlight the time frame and rationale for when materials become available.
Unique Learning System
Unique Learning System is published monthly through eight thematic units from September through May during the school year. A summer unit is available through June, July, and August and a holiday unit during December. Each monthly unit and related activities become available the first Wednesday of the month before implementation and stay online for two months at a time.
Student View is a feature inside of Unique Learning System that allows a student’s independent access to interactive portion of the monthly lessons.
The content displayed in Student View reflects the content the teacher has indicated they will be teaching via the Teacher Dashboard.
Monthly Checkpoints provide pre-assessment and post-assessment measurements of monthly unit content and skill learning in Unique Learning System.
The Monthly Checkpoints are published one week prior to their unit becoming current. Suggestions for implementation can be found in the Suggested Monthly Plan located under Teacher Reference Materials > Instructional Guides.
After publication, Monthly Checkpoint assessments are available for testing the rest of the school year.
News-2-You is published weekly from September through May during the school year (except for a two-week break in December) and monthly in June, July, and August. The newspaper issues and related activities become available the Thursday before the publication date and stay online for two weeks at a time.

In addition to the weekly newspaper editions, Breaking News articles are added throughout the week and can serve as supplemental coverage in the classroom.
