Instructional Targets are the bridge between the general content standards adopted by a state and relevant curriculum content for unique learners. The standard alignment tools include the detailed description of alignment to standards and the connection to the Instructional Targets within Unique Learning System. Instructional Targets are located at the top of each lesson and activity.
Instructional Tasks consist of a page or group of pages in a lesson that represent discrete and reportable skills. For example, a set of comprehension questions is one task, a set of addition problems with a sum of up to 20 is one task, and a set of addition problems with a sum of up to 50 is another task. Multiple Instructional Tasks may address one Instructional Target. Student Daily Performance is based on Instructional Tasks.
