The Elementary and Intermediate grade bands in Unique Learning System include unit lessons with spelling lists. The lists address phonics and word recognition standards and are driven from common sight words (e.g. high-frequency items from Dolch/Fry lists and commonly occuring words in the environment). Spelling lists are provided in two formats: text only and text with SymbolStix support. Select the list format that is appropriate for the student as suggested through the differentiated tasks within the lesson plans. The activities within these lessons are designed to give the students practice in reading, writing and spelling the words.
