Inspire Courses are designed to address specific skills for students who need targeted skill instruction. The content is organized into areas of study, which are called Courses. Each Inspire Course is composed of 6 to 8 Lessons designed to focus on one specific standard-based skill within that area of study. The Lessons can be accessed and assigned individually for targeted research-based instruction on a specific skill,” or they can be used within the Course to teach related skills. Inspire is designed to support students who address general education standards but require support to learn targeted skills, including:
- Students on the cusp of moving to a less restrictive environment (higher than Level 3 “self-contained.”
- Students in Resource Services.
- Students in Tier 3 of RTI/MTSS - (subsequent phases will address Tier 3 and 2).
- Students in an Inclusion setting.
- Students who have fallen behind.
The Classics are adapted and differentiated classic novel units that address general and extended state standards. A few novels available include Call of the Wild, Romeo and Juliet, A Tale of Two Cities, Huckleberry Finn and Julius Caesar. There are supports for differentiated Level 1 through Level 4. The materials are available in symbol-supported and text-only format in both interactive and PDF form. The Classics are divided into one lesson per chapter or act, along with an end-of-book lesson complete with vocabulary activities, comprehension questions and close reading activities that cover the reading material.
